 In-roads program
In-roads program

Community Sector Banking Ltd has been successful in obtaining funding support from the Commonwealth Government to deliver a pilot Community Development Financial Institution Program, known as In-roads.  It has engaged seven partners to deliver the pilot in a number of locations across Australia covering all states in Australia.

The partners are:

  • Access Community Group, NSW;
  • Anglicare South Australia;
  • St Luke’s, VIC;
  • Centre for Aboriginal Independence and Enterprise, QLD;
  • Traditional Credit Union, NT;
  • Kimberley Employment Service, WA; and
  • O group, TAS.

The In-roads project seeks to build the capacity and resilience of disadvantaged and financially excluded individuals by attracting investment and injecting funds into community finance organisations that offer them financial services and products that they would otherwise not be able to access from mainstream sources.

Under the pilot program Community Sector Banking and its partners provides social enterprise business loans, financial literacy training, micro-credit for low income earners and micro-credit personal savings.
